Hi !
So I've been using earplugs with my computer for a long time now, and I finally decided this is no way to live
I'm looking for headphones around the price point of <2k. I'll be using them for 2-3 hours (or more) at a stretch.
Priorities :
0. Open/Semi-open back (rationale being that these would be more comfortable than any closed back headphones)
1. COMFORT & lightweight !!!
2. Build quality and longevity
3. Ones with mic preferred - though not required
4. Sound quality. Thats right - sq is least important to me since I already have my ATH-M50's for that
So far I've really not found much, but here they are anyways :
1. Sennheiser PX90 -reviews on its durability aren't positive.
2. Sennheiser PX80 - cheap & very light - but I'd rather spend more on a product that would last.
3. Philips SHG7980/10 - because I won't have to buy a microphone, is semi-open.
I came across Philips SHP2700 while browsing other threads. These seem to be discontinued. It has got to have successors right?
Thanks.
