Hi !

So I've been using earplugs with my computer for a long time now, and I finally decided this is no way to live :p

I'm looking for headphones around the price point of <2k. I'll be using them for 2-3 hours (or more) at a stretch.

Priorities :

0. Open/Semi-open back (rationale being that these would be more comfortable than any closed back headphones)

1. COMFORT & lightweight !!!
2. Build quality and longevity
3. Ones with mic preferred - though not required
4. Sound quality. Thats right - sq is least important to me since I already have my ATH-M50's for that :)

So far I've really not found much, but here they are anyways :

1. Sennheiser PX90 -reviews on its durability aren't positive.
2. Sennheiser PX80 - cheap & very light - but I'd rather spend more on a product that would last.
3. Philips SHG7980/10 - because I won't have to buy a microphone, is semi-open.

I came across Philips SHP2700 while browsing other threads. These seem to be discontinued. It has got to have successors right?

Thanks.

Check out Samson SR 850 only cons for me is sweaty earpads trying to find some velour pads for it.

Go through Headfi.org dedicated thread for more info
Samson SR850 (Superlux OEM) Review: A $50 Budget Champion.

There are available on snapdeal directly sold & packed by Distributor from Daman. They have few more open end model like RH 300 & RH 600 but no idea about them

Access Denied

SR 850, one more vote.

These look promising indeed! Just a couple of concerns : After how many hours of use would you say they start to feel uncomfortable? (the velour pads sure are expensive!). And can you comment on the build quality / durability?
