linux warning message

Broken In
i am using fedora core 5...when i open the terminal window, after sometime i keep gettin the following msg

Message from syslogd@localhost at Mon Aug 21 13:30:26 2006 ...
localhost kernel: CPU0: Temperature above threshold

localhost kernel: CPU0: Running in modulated clock mode

what is the reason?...is it serious?....wat is the solution?

Yes.i believe is serious,in windows also if temp monitoring software is installed it will show a warning popup.i got same msg with my previous mobo(intel D915GAV) and ended up opening the cabinet to set the Heatsink-fan repasted using heatsink compound and lock the LGA775 properly.lm-sensors can show you almost all temp and parameters as windows does.u need to run the script sensors-detect .
