linux/suse 9.1 installation problem

    when i try to install your suse 9.1 in my comp.it sez no software packages found in the cdrom. i tried it out from my other freind cd but its the same where as in his comp he can install that.
    iam unable to even install redhat as it does not load up the graphix.it just comes to that point and hangs and i think the command name is anaconda.
    plz help me out. iam a die hard fan of linux :?:

    - regarding suse , try copy all files from cd to hdd under windows or something to check if ur cdrom drive reads well
    - some linux distros have option to boot from dos , if u have win98 , try installing from hdd backup
    - try some of the other options during cdrom boot up
    - check hdd space

    - regarding RH skip anaconda and go in for text based installtion , u can configure xwindows later
