Too hot for this forum.
hi.
my first post.
i hv installed linux on an amd athlon m/c.
got two problems.
1.my 2600+,2.13 GHZ processor is recognised as 26600+,1.92 Ghz pro.tried a bios upgrade but to no avail.what to do?
2.my pctel modem isn't detected by Red Hat 9.

pls help. :(

They do work but not always...

About pctel modem just see the driver cd came with your board as mostly pctel modem comes with linux drivers . the instructions are also there.

:D Here is the driver source code link download,compile install..may be before use'checkinstall' package for ease.have gcc alredy installed

ok..I tried it says only kernel 2.4 supported...What do I do..I downloaded the 0.9.7 version of the driver

In the case of Linux for all new devices to be detected
use the latest version of Linux for your system to work
correctly.
