Also if you are not a gamer you should settle for onboard graphics as dedicated graphics card consume more power which is the case with DELL 1420

I don't want it for Games....i solely want for normal day to day operations....but there should be future upgrade option as if i want to install any Graphic card for games or Vista.....

Do nt think of upgrade in case of Laptops . Upgrade options are not much except RAM . Vista will run fine with onboard graphics.

Check out the HP Pavillion dv6705AU..
AMD 2 GHz., 2 GB RAM, 160 GB HDD, 15.4" LCD, Nvidia Grforce 7150M, Webcam + Mic..

Should be around 40k.. would've been a bit cheaper if it weren't for that damn Vista.. :)

HP Pavillion is best lappy in dis range and Dell XPS which costs more dan 50k is okay but not the dells at 40k range....

This is best one in this 40k range but unfortunately the dealer in my city said they don't have this. As stores keep those models which sell heavily only.

I'd bought a DV 2000 series(excat model -forgot) wid 1.7 GHz pentium dual core,2GB RAM(added 1GB extra), 160 GB HDD but with inbuilt intel's graphics.(so this priced abt 39k wid 1 GB extra RAM did have intel pro instead of AMD Turion and no Nvidia Grforce 7150M and all other things r same as dv6705AU)
