Broken In
I downloaded version 5.1.1 of Knoppix . But accidentally deleted the file using Shift+Del . After that I recovered it using PC Inspector and burnt it on a CD.
Now when I use this bootable CD then it doesn't load the final GUI rather it gives an error in the midst and gets stuck in the command prompt.
Now I think this could be due to the improper recovery by PC inspector. So how can I check the integrity of the .iso file if I still have the file with me.

I see right through you.
Step 1 : Go to www.md5summer.com and download the program md5summer. Install it.

Step 2 : Use the program to generate the md5 checksum of your iso image (The one you downloaded, and then recovered).

Step 3 : Download the checksum from the same site you downloaded the image from (preferably the same mirror).

Step 4 : Compare the two checksums.

If they're the same, you downloaded an uncorrupted file, and the problems probably came while burning or something. If the checksums don't match, then the file was corrupted and you'd be better off redownloading.
