Issue related to THE CHRONICLES OF RICCIDK - PLS HELP

Hi

I have a P4 1.7GHZ/256MB RAM/80 GB HDD/Windows XP SP2/Geforce 6200 (256MB) graphics card.
I recently bought The chronicles of Riddick game. I also installed the latest nvidia forceware driver 77.72. But Whenever I try to run the game I get an application error saying - "OpenGL driver 1.5 or higher required to run the game".
My card according to the release notes supports OPENGL 2.0. PLS GIMME A SOLUTION.

A. Go to your graphics card manufacturer's website and download and install their latest OpenGL driver

Hey Thanks for the link. I followed and it finally took me to nVidia site for downloading the drivers, which I already did and installed. The latest driver for my card is Forceware 77.72 which contains the OpenGL driver.
But the game still pops out with the same error.

The 77.xx series of drivers give a problem in Riddick, try installing earlier version of the drivers, also install the Riddick 1.1 Patch.

riddick also needs windows sp1 or sp2 installed . install sp1/sp2 if you have not done it yet.

thats a problem with the game and not the driver ....

download rivatuner form :

run it ....
then do this :

Forceware detected - customize > opengl settings > compatibility > opengl version string overrride > set to 1.5 or lower .......apply and restart and the game should run fine ....

But if u dont like to go go through all this hastle then download some older drivers like the forceware 71.81 ....

And as far as i think the game has no problem with the 76.50 also .....

Try using the 77.84 drivers . I have the same config as you and riddick runs fine on me.

I shall try the same, hey mako where did u get the 77.84, the latest is 77.72 only.

One more thing, Is the card I bought Geforce 6200 a worthy card ???

i completed the game at 1280x1024,maxed anisotropy , maxed details with sm2.0 .... i dont force anything so all the ingame options were maxed out ....

btw dont even think about using sm2.0++ ... it sucks the gaming hell out of a 6800GT too ....

i used the 76.44 whql drivers when i played it .....
