like te avast 64 bit antivirus edition

64 bit Windows is out since days. It is available in the market. As said by expertno.1, 64-bit softwares are also available.

well, actually the trial download is stopped since the product started shipping.
and whats the cost of the original package?

I think the Athlon 64's single core loose their steam on 64 bit platform leaving out the FX range though !!

i think the 64 bit windows xp is released but is a beta.
its not the final release.

Thanks! I am not really up to date with tech news, and I tried searching the interenet for it. I found out about the microsoft trial edition... but I came here wondering if I could buy one in India right now... I wanna upgrade my PC, but no point doing it if there isn't enough 64 bit compatible software... But, Thanks allt he same for your help, guys!

ys tell me if its available in india.even if its pirated!
i was planing 2 go 4 amd64 so if winxp 64 is available i`ll use that only.

Yes its availabele mate.

If u have an Original version of 32 bit XP it is being upgraded free of cost to 64 bit. But u will have to turn in the 32 bit XP and unistall and formatt it before u install XP 64 bit.

Dont know if its still running. Check Microsofts site for details.

yes it is released already. check *www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/64bit/russel_exploringx64.mspx . It is released on april 30 2005.

Microsoft's says standalone version is not available. 64 bit version is only available with pc vendors like hp, dell ......

No i read it some were that microsoft is giving win xp 64 as standalone product too.
