Is PCI modem different from winmodem?

im planning to install FC3 in my computer. My computer having a winmodem, not a pci based...

if i put a dlink pci modem will it work and connect to internet through FC3?

FC3 may not detect your pci modem. check if the manufacturer has got a driver. If it has then you are lucky.

BTW I use a win modem but it is INTEX.
