is net send command working in windows 98

    how to send message to another pc in a workgroup. If both system use windows 98 SE. in windows 2000 and above this is done by NET SEND MACHINE NAME "MESSAGE". but this is not working in win98

    Find a program called mschat.exe in your c: .. As far as I remember it was in Themes folder or common files folder .. But its been years since I used Win98 .. So search for ..

    In Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs, Go to Installed WIndows Components and check if feature is installed (dont exactly remember the name, but when you looked at its info, it says it is for net send)

    or netmeeting

    any BTW if messenger service is working than it works in 98
