Is Modem required after router?

I am soon getting dishnet dsl connection
(business) and i am interested in the linksys-g router and adapters. Will i
need the dsl modem or can i directly plug the line into the router and will
the connection be automatically be distributed. If i still need the modem,
then at what point in the connection do i attach it.

Most probably you will be needing the modem.Though some routers also come with a modem functionality.I'm not sure which specific model you are referring to.
Could you tell us the model number you are thinking of buying.
As for the connection part,the dsl line will go into the WAN port on the router.

for the linksys G routers, just a standard cat5 cable from the ethernet port on the modem to the wan port on the router, and you should be good to go.
