Hi

I want to install win xp directly from a usb flash drive. I want to do this because I have to install xp on many computers in a day, and all the computers that i come across do not have a cd drive . also it would be much faster then installing from a cd.

will making the flash drive bootable using Bart-pe and copying all the xp setup files make it possible?

yeas u can......

well if u can boot from usb that will get it done... if not...

and if u can boot into dos and mount usb that shouldalso get it done , now i dunno how mount works in dos n all....

in short, if u can run the setup u can install it... no matter where u boot from...

i might be very well wrong but this is how i see it....

well setting up the bios is not a big deal. but the main problem is to make the drive bootable. i have done it for the DSL and also a bootable disk for winxp(recovery) but not for installation.
