Hello All...

A friend of mine has an Ipod 20Gb 2nd gen player. It was bought 2nd hand from an online shopping mart. The problem with the player is that its battery has gone bad...It doesnt get charged although it can be used with the power supply plugged in.

My query is that:

1: What sort of battery does an ipod have? Because from the look of the device, the battery seems to be moulded into the body...Is it a Li-ion thing?

2: Can the battery be replaced? If yes, then is it available in India??

Looking forward to replies...Its kind of urgent...

As far as I know, the 2nd Gen iPod did not feature a removable battery (even the 5th Gen one doesn't have a removable battery I think) so I doubt if you can just go and purchase a replacement. Best bet would be to contact Apple and see what they say.
