Intel is plans to keep rolling out the chips. The company will introduce both the
desktop & notebook versions of its new processor 'Core 2 Duo' at an event
in it's Silicon Valley headquarters on July 27.
So what does 'Core 2 Duo' offer? According to Intel it offers 40% increase in
performance , also 40% decrease in power consumption versus it's Pentium D
processor. Looks like Intel is on the firing mode after a lacklustre quarterly performance!!

Yes, it should be available for retail sale pretty soon. Intel was delaying it's launch
of products to findout the market expectations. And that was good enough for AMD
to capitalise on!! So from now on Intel will be releasing new processors as & when
they are ready.

Yes, ofcourse, there will be some price reduction in the case of the older processors.
We have always seen prices of the older processors falling when a new processor is
released. To how much extent the prices of the old processors will fall, we have to
wait and see.
