Hi everyone .I own an intel 3 ghz pro with intel 865 gbf mb,I am fed up with intel exterme graphics2,onboard sound,also ati radeon 7000ve aint good enough 2 play hl2,doom3.I am thinking of upgrading 2 gigabyte 8I915G Duo mb.Is the onboard video intel gma 900 good enough 2 play all above games,I need a goog speakers 2.1 of creative upto 800-1200rs.

your current mobo i.e intel orig d865gbf is a nice good perfromer and instead of upgrading ur mobo why dont u just buy a decent graphics card such as the ati radeon 9600 pro or 9800 series ... they will cost u around 5-7 k (approx) (an intel orig d915gav will also cost u around 5k ...wats the use dear ???? ) . the onboard intel gma 900 does not deliver at all when playing latest games , u will only be able to play latest games at lowest settings (see my siggy , i am using one and i know how it performs). dont go for it , just buy a good agp card for ur existing mobo and enjoy. if u want even better perfomance in games then get minimum of 512mb ddr 400 mhz ram. the more ram u have the better it is. njoy !!!
