Installing OS from Network / Flash disk?

i want to install OS from a flash disk (Linux).. i have a DVD of linux but i want to install linux on a Pc without DVD-rom. i have a laptop which has a dvd rom .

i have a USB flash drive.
what shall i do to install the OS from flash disk?
what is the procedure to copy the files from dvd to flash dish so that the pc boots form flash disk.



2nd Can any one tell me what does "boot from network " mean and how and i do that. is it possible to install Linux from network? How to Do that?
