Try installing Mandriva 2006/2007 Linux. It supports SATA. All the latest Linux
distros like Ubuntu 6.06 or 6.10, Suse 10.1, Fedora 5/6 do support SATA.

AFAIK Mandrake 10.1 came somewhere around 2004. No way is it going to support newer features like SATA and all.
