ILLEGAL OPERATION while executing WIN98 game

Last week my grandson bought PC CD-ROM 3D BOWLING USA for WIN98.It installed without any problem. However while trying to run the same it gave message :

This program has performed an illegal operation and will shut down.
If problem persists contact the program vendor.

DETAILS
FINAL caused an invalid page fault in module FINAL.EXE at 01971 0040e9b9.

All other WIN98 games work perfectly.

Am using dual boot WIN98 & WIN XP PRO. WIN98 is loaded in 'D' drive and XP in 'C' drive.
Motherboard : INTEL D865GBF
Processor : INTEL P4 2.80 HT
RAM : 2 x 256 MB DDR HDRAM
Display : RADEON 9200

Any suggestions to make the game work? My grandson has set his heart on it.

Well I haven't played this game but you can try installing it in WIN XP. Maybe it'll run fine there.
