do one thing....
right click on my computer... click manage
go to disk-management

this will display maps of ur all installed disks with their partition...

now right click on the disk u wanna boot from... and click on

mark active

now in run click

conrol folders

this will open folder options...

now unhide all files even hidden operating system files...

now go to ur main drive usually C:\

copy all hidden system files ntldr, boot.ini...

and paste them to the drive u just marked as active and wanna boot from...

now reboot ur machine... on boot it will read dta from the second drive instead of ur main drive C:\

this is how u can boot from another drive...

the process is risky and u may lose ur system and settings... if u never did this stuff then leave it....

i didn't tried it on XPSP2 systems... so i'm not sure this works in XPSP2 systems or not... as XPSP2 deals too much with BOOTING !!!

which OS do u have?
do u have a multi boot system ?
if u just wanna change the order of ur OS's loading ... or if u dun want the second option to show
then just right click on my computer => propertied
goto advanced
goto startup and recovery
and change the order and the time displayed there
if u have only one OS .. then u can just change the booting order from the bios
if u have 2 os's and wanna boot only from one .... the second one .. then follow what ShkharPalash said
change the order from
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition" /fastdetect /NoExecute=OptIn
to multi(0)disk(1)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition" /fastdetect /NoExecute=OptIn
i suppose that should work
but before u change this line ... PLZ wait for JAK .... hes the expert on these things
