I actually want to buy a cpu which should be having this. Intel dual core
2.8Ghz 800FSB.

256MB DDR 2 ram. ASUS or MSI model I need motherboard which has PCI express 16x(Graphics). 2 or 3pci slots. PCI -express slots for future.

Graphics card within 5000/- PCI express card.

decent Cabinet.

I don't need harddisk and CD rom. I own those two.

Can I buy all within 21,000/-

Should I go for AMD or INtel? Please tell me why shud I go for Intel or AMD????

yes i think u will get all those things in 21 K , u can visit deltapage.com for approximate prices,

u can buy intel processors, dual core processors are really good, i would prefer intel because of their performance and reliability, i have heard lot of people supporting and suggestin for AMD processors but when it really comes to actually buying a processor ,nothing beats intel.

Only the name intel seems to stands out now and that on the performance side AMD runs the roller coaster pal. Nothing can beat an AMD FX 60 now. Intel has serious catching up to do.

as in for the case of u r ram add another module too to make it a 512Mb.
some good cabinets are available from VIP, Antec

make your doubt clear. AMD dual core processor has beat intel in every test.
AMD is clear winner, intel is left far behind.

single core or dual core .. amd beats intel in performance and thermal characteristics ... but intel pentium d 900 series is pretty good in performance and are cheaper than athlon x2 ... and also these overclock damn good .. also intel has slashed the prices of 900 series dual core worldwide .. no idea if that applies here in india as well .. but these are pretty cheap in us ..

and abt amd fx 60 .. the upcoming intel conroe processors based on core architecture beats them badly .. core is far far better architecture than k8..

so .. in future we all are going to see intel ahead in performance as well as in thermal characteristics ... and that's a fact ... just wait for july ... and around that time these 900 series will become more cheaper too ..

also intel has released a new c1 stepping for these processors which improves their power consumption and these preslers are the best processors based on netburst architecture ...

i am neither friend of AMD or INTEL
i believe in value for money spend on processor.
currently performance and price wise AMD is much better choice.

YEAH, me too .. i am not a fanboy of intel or amd .. but good superior tech products which conroe is ..

now , amd rules in single core in value for money processors like athlon 3000+ , 3200+ .. which are far superior than p4 clock per clock ..

but in dual core intel has better value for money in the form of 65 nm 4 mb L2 cache presler dual core processors .. true.. that amd athlon x2 is better than pentium d .. but they are not cheaper as pentium d.. also these preslers overclock much better .. offering even more value for money ..
also 805 dual core is for masses... only drawback of it being its massive heat dissipation ..

dude in dual core AMD roks as wel as in the normal ones.. its by far n wproved tat amd has beaten intel in al the tests... so i wud advice u to go in for an AMD b it a 64 bit proc or a dual core..

performance - wise AMD beats intel... but it has priced dual cores a bit higher... and there are reasons for it...

AMD is already not able to meet demands for it processors so it does not make any point for AMD to decrease prices when it can sell the dual cores at the price it wants....

AMD is a much smaller company compared to intel and has fewer resources and has to manage with them, it is remarkable that it beats intel in research in this situation...

but given this time... intel dual cores are sure cheaper, but as of now i dont see intel having an upper handdd, but it is soing to change soon, and then may be i will purchase an intel processor in a long time....

See AMD is better than intel..in performance...u can see it your self.,,
Intel gives only clock speed "GhZ" but that 3Ghz procy in ur desktop is of no use .........while AMD offers more performance with much less clock speed "GhZ"...............

However AMD X2 processors are a little expensive>>>

If u really want a X2 processor u can go with intel but be ready to compromise on the performance<<<<<
