I dont have USB port,can i ?

Hello,
My Brother bought me a USB Seagate Mobile Harddisk(40gb).But Mine is 5 years old system.In my motherboard i dont have USB port.I want you to know is it possible to connect my usb HDD to my pc using Serial or parallel port using any converters.Please suggest me what to do.

All that you need to do is get a USB card (around Rs. 400 in Mumbai on Lamington Road). That will give you 4 USB ports

if u have a free usb header onboard then just get a usb dongle for rs 150 for 2 ports.Otherwise get a pci 4 port usb card for rs 400.

In a 5 yr old Motherboard, even if you have a free usb header on board, don't bother to attach a dongle. 99% it won't work with your devices. Safest way is to have a USB card which will surely work
