HTC Explorer or Nokia 500

My sis going to buy a mobile for 10k(+2k if mobile is awesome,'no flaws at al,if possible').I chose Nokia 500 and HTC Explorer.After reading reviews of both mobiles I am confused what should I suggest.I am confused because:
Nokia:1ghz processor and 640*360 Screen resolution.
HTC:Adreno 200 gpu.
Anyone already using one these can suggest me better.She is not going to buy any mobile atleast for 3yrs.She is not a power user,just call,message,browse web and watch videos.

Either HTC Explorer on the lowerend or Nokia 700 on the upper range (11.6k). Don't consider 500. Its has ton of issue.

O god. I was recommending that mobile from starting. But according to budget,i dont have much options. I was suggesting only nokia 603 out of budget.what do u think about nokia 603? And nokia 700 is more costly than 603,and the price u mentioned here,i think its online price,and my sis already said big NO-NO to online purchasing.she dnt trust. And big THANK YOU for reply,i was waiting since past 2 days.

Nokia's local as well as price are almost same but avoid priority dealers. They'll rip you. Check multiple stores and avoid mobile store. It too is same as Priority dealer. Prices are way too high.

Expect 603 price to be be less than 12k locally.
Nokia 700 offers you bigger screen but removes the flash. And cost a bit more. But the bottom placed speaker makes it look really bad.

I have gone through reviews of nokia 603 and 700 on gsmarena,both of them are good for my sis,but again aftr reading user opinions and reviews,i am confused,it is mixed with +ve and -ve opinions. Googling more makes me more confuse. If after buying a 12k mobile,it shows problms like restart and sudden app close,then she wil give me her phone and buy new one.and i wil stuck with it for atleast 3 yrs for sure.
And i want to say that i m not suggesting any androids phones cause all of them have less battrey backup,according to user opinions from other website and TDF. If anyone can suggest a good android mobile with battrey backup like nokia 603/700 then it would be good.

Google the specs.
Girls like taking pics, this phone ha 5MP camera with flash and a front camera. +3D video recording, will be useful of you have Sony 3d TV.

My sis said HTC xplorer look so nrml,it is her last option. She said she might buy Samsung Galaxy Ace. But that also she dont like. She liked sony ericcson mobiles but all were above 12k. Anyone know how is Ace?

buy Ace only if found at ~11k. don't spend 12k+ on that piece. camera is poor (15FPS video recording ROFL), processor is the ancient MSM7227 and ram is less at around 380MB. open up browser + doc viewer + music and after sometime mobile will feel sluggish. heck, in my mobile with 512MB ram if i do moderate multitasking ram usage shoots past 400MB easily.

i'll still suggest Nokia 770/603. most tension free mobile. with bad battery life, random FC now and then and less internal space, seriously consider Symbian. Even if its a dead platform it has everything one can ask for minus some games and a few important apps missing.

yes this one is a good choice. friends own it and i have used it but the screen is small. best is to get a hands on experience.

not anymore. the stock rom was full of bugs. subsequent updates fixed it. Still battery life won't last more than 1 day of heavy use or heavy browsing.

current gingerbread is really stable and the processor and powerful graphics processor makes the UI really fluid. 4 corner UI thankfully is not a bloatware. have tested same launcher on my mobile. loved it.

My friend have Nokia C6-01 as well as C7. With latest update also the battery life is miles ahead of Android. maybe cause of the screen. Screen is not bright but lot better than the Sony units also.

thank you for reply. I said all things about ace and 603. Said about xperia mini,she said 3" is very small. But i will say her to use all these 4 mobiles in some mobile showroom.then it will be final.

actually i was saying no to custom roms when mobile will be used by a non-techie person. custom rom brings its own share of problem with it.

nice buy. congrats. don't update to Android 4.0.3 yet. let Sony roll out Android 4.0.4 update. 0.3 is buggy.
