How to download files from FTP servers

    I got some linux distros to download via FTP sites but are there any suitable s/w or nice FTP clients which will help me to download files from FTP sites..I use IDM and in that i get speeds around 2-5 kbps..I have 256kbps connection so suggest me some good FTP clients

    Flash fxp is the best ftp client i hav come across...the speed of and ftp depends on the ftp itself...u cannot expect full speeds at all times...

    I want some more options and i like gving a try to each and every option and then settle on 1 :))
