Different CD drives have different success rates when trying to read the same scratched CD. If you are getting a CRC error, then try cleaning the CD with alcohol, and use a software called IsoBuster to read the CD contents. Also try connecting different drives to your PC and try reading. If it's still giving the error, then it may have been caused due to a poorly burnt CD. Next time, burn the CD's at a lower speed in order to be safe.
