Help Required: Scope of infotainment and educational programmes on Broadband

A big "Hello" to everybody...

I work for a Media house and need some urgent help on a research topic given to me at work? Please can anyone point me towards some useful research that that has been posted on the Net with reference to the topic?

The topic is: "What can be the content leverage with the current broadband infrastructure in India and also what is the scope of infotainment and entertainment programmes on broadband?"

Desperately hoping that someone throws me a lifeline!

As of now broadband has not penetrated much as Television. Also on the other hand you need 512 kbps
speed for jerk-free reception of programmes in a PC. Since most ISP have a limited MB plans say 1 GB or
2 GB. So they rather what it on TV , rather then pay 4000 or 5000 Rs a month & watch some programmes
in broadband!! The broadband prices need to come down for more penetration , also they should offer
speed of 1 MB/sec unlimited download option at an affordable price. So things are pretty grim as far as
infotainment or educational using broadband as the medium!!
