I have a Pentium 4 2.4 GHz with 20 GB system

I have 3 partitions, C: D: and E:

I had Win XP and Win 98

I recently formatted C: and D: and installed Win XP Pro (without Win98)

When I tried to install Direct X 9.0b i got the following message " This software is not digitally signed and will not be installed"

I tried disabling the driver signing message but it was of no use.

then I used the Repair Option in Win XP setup to reinstall windows XP

After that I found My grafic and video drivers not working

So I uninstalled them and restarted the system

After that my system never Started . I shows the welcome screen and then restarts again..

What do I do?

Will Win XP start up disk be useful?

the warning:
"This software is not digitally signed and will not be installed"
suggests to me that ur display drivers r not properly installed or the drivers u r currently using are pretty old.try updating ur drivers by
downloading the latest graphics card drivers and then try to install direct x 9.0b.

The startup disc will surely help if u r unable to boot.
But ur system shows the welcome message.
Press F8 at boottime n select the recovery console in XP(I think so) n
perform the troubleshooting.
If nothing works then format n go for a fresh n clean installation.

The DirectX that you were trying to install was not a valid setup.

Try installing DirectX9 from the di9it CD.

That's pity on microsoft. It's own product is not digitally signed :) .
It can happen sometimes if the archive is damaged. As busyanuj
said install it from the digit DVD ;).
..:: peace ::..
