[Help needed]Cannot use OpenSUSE KDE from Live CD

Yesterday I downloaded OpenSUSE 10.3 Live with KDE iso and burnt it to CD.
Today, I am able to boot from the CD and welcome message is displayed. After I select 'OpenSUSE 10.3', the kernel loads 100%. Then a green screen(default background) appears and PC freezes. I tried disabling the ACPI but still no avail. Near left bottom of the screen, these is written 'Press Esc for for more information'. Even that does not do anything.

Please help guys!

at the boot prompt add the following

noapic

to the long boot string.

If that does not help, press CTRL+ALT+F1 and see and note the messages and post them here
