hi guys,
mine 80 Gb hard disk is of fat32 format.i have got an old 40 Gb IDE HD.
I want format 40 gb hard disk as a SINGLE fat32 drive.I tried to do through manage>Disk management option,but i am not able to do it as xp does support formating more than 32 Gb as fat32.
So u guys help me. thanks in advance.

with Fat 32 file system you can only able to assign max partition is 32GB.
So if you want to format one partition in the entire HDD go with NTFS.

ok.just did one partionn of whole HDD. in NTFS format.

if u want to do partition in fat32 format then first manage a win98 bootable disk and then u can do it by using the fdisk command.. if u wish to do it let it know on the thread
