Wandering in time...
its perfectly normal...btw which HDD do u have...for seagates this temp is generally at low disk usage and shoots upto 50 degrees on full load...My western digital goes only upto 45 degrees on full load...
there is no need for a cooler at all..

Mine's also the same brand & model, 42 degree celcius is just fine.

at full load (or during defrag..) my HDD temp reaches around 48-51 degree cel. MaX.

anything above 60 is not good.

Hell Sucks!!!
My laptop's HDD @7200 rpm runs normally at 50-52 and sometimes at heavy usage reaches abt 60.
When i give it a little ventilation then it remains at 48-50
Is it normal ?????
I use HDD temperature

Hey..temperature till 50 deg celsius is absoultely normal. If it rises more than 65 deg celsius..it is alarming.

Its normal but it also depends on the type of hdd.....for newer drives its fine. but if its a old slow hdd then it should be under 45 degs
