GeForce6200 vs Geforce7900

i have a question,
people always say that with a better graphics card,the game will run faster and more smoothly,but is there any visual performance increase?
for example:if i max out the graphical settings of need for speed most wanted on a geforce 6200TC,will i get the same visual beauty as i will get with a 7900gt?
I know it will definitly be slower,but my pc has extreme components which can make up for the graphics,so in lamens terms,which looks prettier(not FASTER),7900gt or 6200tc?

Its defenitely 7900GT as it supports more eye candy. The GF 7 series has more eyecandy like cineFX4 nd Ultra Shadow3 etc which 6 series lacks(got lower versions). Also HDR and bloom works gr8 on 7 series nd image quality is amazing too.
Maybe a 7300GS can render somewhat same quality at 1~2 fps(at max 1600*1200), whereas a 7900GT can do the same at 60~70 fps.

Also no other hardware in a PC is a substitute for a Gcard as far as GAMING is concerned. Even a system with 3000+ and 512DDR and 7900GT can easily beat a beast with FX57,2GB XMS DDR and a 7300GS.

Also heard somewhere dat enabling High water and special effects on FarCry with 6100,6150 nd 6200 causes artifacts even at 1024*768. Many of my friends has wierd xperience with 6200 nd 6600LE when some effect is turned to high. Dun know bout 7300.

6200TC or non TC cannnot handle games at high res....with all eye candy on....AA/AF on....
But a 7900GT/GTX can...with all AA/AF etc....with good FPS>...without playing it like a slide show...
