In todays tech world what are the specifications of the best gaming PC
well the first factor is price.. if ur filthy rich and are willing to spend.. u can get amazing pc's.. but if u give me so much money id also get a ps2,XB and a PSP well the best gaming pc.. hmm ok m8.. say not to a so rich guy but neither poor.. an avg lad..
an amd 2800+ or a 3000 + then 512 MB ram.. then say 6600 GT.. these are the main req.. i suppose..
Go here and configure to your heart's content.
my dream PC is.....
AMD athalon 64FX 3.2GHz
Windows 2003 64bit
Also Linux of some sort...
GeForce 5800FX (i have 5200) with 256DDR
a samsung Combo Drive (for the Digit DVD...LOL)
a samsung syncmaster (i've seen them at reliance webworld... they just ROCK)
any sound card will do..... with its output to a sony 1200Watt music system with 4 Speakers.....
also 512 MB DDR memory...
PS2 Dual shock remote control with the PC connector...... (available at ngemu.com)
thats my dream gaming rig.... it wud really be sufficient for around the next 8 years and wud cost around 45k-60k.......
I use to have Rig with a: 3.6GHz 533MHz P4, A GeForce 6800GT and 1 GB DDR1 Hynix Ram. I had gave it to my sister currently i spend 9 Hours Playing games on My PlayStation 2.
Dude firstly the 5800 is long dead ! Supposedly the worst card ever made by Nvidia. Then 1 gig is min recommended for a uber gaming rig ! and lastly any PC however expensive wont last you more than 2-3 years in this age of fast track technology.
A really fast rig (not the fastest) and a realistic rig (components available in india) would be
AMD Fx-55 / Amd 64 4000+
MSI K8N Diamond
Western digital raptor II 74gb *2 raid 0
Corsair DDR 400 XMS series(512mb *2)
Gainward 6800 GT Golden sample * 2 SLI
Audigy 2 ZS
Klipsch promedia 5.1
Reality check: Gainward 2400/Ultra DOESN't Have a Pci-X version, because believe it or not, i brought the card in December 2004. And at that time it only had a AGP8x Version. Btw MSI K8N Diamond is not a SLI board.
reality check 4 u , dude . a Gainward PowerPack! Ultra/2400 PCX TV/DVI/DVI 256MB is available in the pci-x version -
mayb itwaznt available in dec , but 4 months is a looooooong time in the tech world . what say .
as 4 the MSI K8N Diamond . here u r -
m just thinkin what those 2 long white colored slots r , just left of the fan on the n'bridge . ok it doesnt have pci-x 1x slots , but those 2 definately seem 2 b 16x 1z .
so dude , do check ur facts b4 posting .
@blade_runner , btw i would have gone with the newer version of this 6800gt card , titled GLH , stands 4 ' Goes Like Hell ' . its got a 1.6ms memory timin . thats what i call ' Low Latency ' . cheerz
Umm, i think 4 months is quite sometime mate. The pci-x can be had now. And abt the Diamond its not your fault i guess gigabyte has had trouble naming their mobos. There is a lot of confusion regarding the mobos.
For confirming it chk out this page http://www.msi.com.tw/program/products/mainboard/mbd/pro_mbd_detail.php?UID=638
also the pic is u are still in doubt
@mamba: Dint know the glh was available here. Will check it out.
