Hey Can u ppl tell if IBM thinkpads under the 1000$ category will be able to ply new games as F.E.A.R. and Quake 4
especially the R50e n R51e variants

^^ I don't think so because to play those games smoothly, you will need atleast a 256 MB DirectX 8.1 compatible graphic card like Geforce 6600 GT; even those games stutter on good cards. :roll: 
So, if you are hardcore gamer, then you can buy a desktop PC instead, but if you really wanna need a laptop, then go for Dell XPS M170, which has Geforce 7800 GO card with 256 MB: All said and done, IT WILL PLAY ALL THE GAMES BEAUTIFULLY !
