Free WinXp sp2 cd from Microsoft!!!

Is it true that microsoft is offering free winxp sp2 cd?

Now plz tell me - is there any truth in below information?

It's only the Service Pack, not XP along with SP2. Read this:

To install Windows XP Service Pack 2 via CD, you need:

• A PC with Windows XP Home Edition, Professional, Media Center Edition, or Tablet PC Edition installed

what does it mean?

the cd only contains the service pack and not the whole OS, add to that the fact that you found a link of service pack 2 when service pack 3 has been launched

Its very old but yes it works. I have ordered a CD in past and got it within one month.

When SP2 was released, i got this cd free of cost, everything included,right at my doorstep!

I think we can get the CD only if we have an original copy of windows, isn't it?
even if not, atleast we need original windows to make it work.
