Forum woes

recently, while browsing this forum, i got an error message :- ( IE)

phpBB : Critical Error

Could not connect to the database

i tried in Opera, Firefox but to no effect.
it also happened to me while posing a message.
i tried disconnecting also
i tried 5 minutes later and it was working fine.

are u guys facing this problem?
what could be the causes?
what could be the solutions?
is it a phBB problem?

help pls

The forum was probably down at the time... This happens once in a while. If you get it, try again later...

earlier the address was *www.thinkdigit.com/forums but now it is *www.thinkdigit.com/forum so check it out

i face this problem everyday at least once. the server cant be down be down everyday...

I think its due to overwhelming read and write operations in the database.....mysql or oracle whatever!

phpbb works on mysql

If Digit is in Mumbai, maybe that speaks about the power situation there maybe

i too get the message,but not like surabh as once a day,but once in sy 4/5 days ...
goes away in 2/3 mins...
