Ok, m all done with my new laptop! Now all that I need is a good freeware/paid solution that would allow me to lock away my files in Windows Vista, just like folder lock in Windows XP.........

Folder Lock Is CRAP .Use HandyCrypto v3.0 or later. Files locked by Folder Lock can be easily seen by hard disk manager programs And Also in LINUX or other OSs. Whereas HandyCrypto Encrypts files On-the-Fly and these files cannot be decrypted without password or Key
