i was adding files to make a dvd using Nero(7) Burning ROM.
Accidently i found a folder named "SYSTEM VOLUME INFORMATION" in the Nero burning ROM. when i clicked it ot view its contents , it displayed "F:\System volume information is not accessible. Access Denied".
i'm the administrator.
Also there is another folder "RECYCLER" which contains
S-1-5-21-1085031214-...........................
S-1-5-21-1202660629-57989841-682003330-1003
S-1-5-21-1202660629-57989841-682003330-1004
S-1-5-21-1202660629-57989841-682003330-1005
S-1-5-21-515967899-..............................
S-1-5-21-515967899-..............................

These 2 folders are seen in every drive using Nero burning rom
but none of these 2 folders is seen in any drive(Show hidden files is enabled).
Its only seen in Nero burning rom.
Any idea of why this is happening??

You can't see them even if you are admin.
Recycler, you can delete the files in there without it affecting winxp.
As for sys vol info, you can never see what's inside if you're on NTFS.

btw, you can see every folder in your pc including recycler and sys vol info if you check "show protected operating system files and folders" and "show hidden files" from folder options in explorer.

They are system files .. just let them be there they wont harm the system in fact they are good for the system.

U can see their contents! :)

Just right-click on the folder and select Properties. And in Security tab, click on Add button. and in the new windows add Administrators. Now Apply it. After this u can open the folder, see the contents, even delete the whole folder. Don't worry, it'll be create again-n-again :D

don't worry, this is the way recycle bin arranges the files (perhaps)

i found a folder named "SYSTEM VOLUME INFORMATION"
open it as vishal said (i.e. giving yourself permission) and you'll find some folders as _restore{6776F958-B3F1-4A1F-B3B9-6DA89AC9ADCB} (similar). These are restore points and I hope you know why they are made inaccesible by default (suppose you delete these folders and then use system restore)
