floppy drive is not reading any floppies

plz help me . my floppy drive is not reading any floppies. where as in another system floppies are working fy9

Check whether green light is shown when booting the system....
Else.....there maybe some loose connections in the wires....

first observe any activity in the floppy drive during boot-up

if there is none then it is not connected properly or has been disabled in the bios

if there is activity
after startup go to device manager to check whether it is workin properly
ie enabled etc ....

if none of the above solves the prob , there might be a case of a prob with the read write head , better get it serviced or replaced !!!
