fedora doesn't detect the usb modem

i'm very new to linux and installed fedora core 9 on my comp. in dual boot with win XP, dataone connection and ZTE ZXDSL 831A||(USB ADSL modem). now fedora doesn't detect the usb modem. fedora also doesn't open all of my other local drives(it just shows them). you should post the dmesg o/p from terminal attached to *pastebin.ca
ofcorz with modem connected.
also ,the o/p of "lsusb" command.

Mostly USB modems would not work, you might need to spend in some 200/- and go Ethernet and driver-free! :)

I do have an internal ethernet. how do i use it in place of the adsl modem that bsnl provides??

I have Realtek RTL8169/8110 Family Gigabit Ethernet NIC(internal) which linux also detects.

I believe he was referring to the port the Router uses to connect to your system. Configuring usb modems are a PITA.
Check this thread *www.thinkdigit.com/forum/showthread.php?t=91680. Scroll down and you should find a couple of guides for configuring an Internet Connection. However I believe it is for Ubuntu not sure if it might help. But its worth a shot.
