fedora core 6 error..plz rectify

i installed fedora 6 and when it was starting after installation it gave the following error.

Failed to start the X server (your graphical interface)

(EE) I810(0): No Video BOIS modes for chosen depth.
(EE) Screen(s) found, but none have a usable configuration.

Fatal server error:
no screens found

plz help me..only the command prompt is working..plz help me to use gui window environement

Well the depth you have selected for the video isn't supported, run

system-display-config

and set the right depth. For the supported depth please look into the manual of your mobo/graphics card or check the manufacturer's website. But, mostly depth 16 should work all right.

hey guys same error is coming in suse 10.2
plz solve my problem and this command is not working "system-display-config"

it also gives error

This command will not work in suse. Which display adaptor do you have?
