    hi,
i have a P4 1.7 Ghz machine on an Intel D845GLAD Motherboard... of late i want to upgrade my configuration to AMD, which means i have to change my motherboard too. my query lies is it possible for me to exchange my exixting P4 processor and motherboard with AMD one??? if so, could u inform me a reliable shop in bangalore where i can go...

and also if the exchange takes place how much deduction in rupees i would get on the new AMD Processor and M/B..

    PLEASE help..

Some shopkeepers may let you do exchange of that sort, but with that config dont expect too high a price from them. I had an intel 1.7 ghz mounted on a mercury mobo. I asked my vendor he said he would give me only 1.7k for the mobo and proccy.

But i managed to find another dealer who took
    1. my proccy
    2. mobo
    3. 256 mb ram
    4. LG cd rom
    5. Cabinet

he paid me 4.5 k for all that stuff.
