Edit theme

Can i edit my wordpress theme at my blog at Hyspex.com so that i can place Google Adsense ads on it.

ya, if u want to place ads on sidebar, login to ur wordpress, go to presentation, theme editor and then sidebar templated.. now place the HTML wherever u want to place the ad.

I can edit it but how do I save the changes.There is no save button.Plz help.

wen u edit the file, there must be a button called UPDATE FILE at the bottom, click on it

There is no update button .It is saying "
If this file was editable you could edit it.

it is saying so because the file is not writable (viz. chmod settings)
dont u hav ftp access? if u hav then u can edit sidebar.php of ur theme to insert ads in the sidebar

Better will be editing the theme files on your computer itself and then upload those modfied files to the ftp ..

ya u can edit on ur pc and then upload via ftp
or even u can edit files on ur server itself using a ftp program... cute ftp pro (dat i use) allows u 2 do dat

And if you want to edit it manually on the server, Just set the permissions to 666 to make it writable .. Now edit the theme files and then reset the permissions to 644 .. Any decent FTP program will let you do this easily ...
