dvd writer probs help needed

i bought a sony dw q30a dvd writer last year march this october it was givin me some problems with reading cd rw so i flashed its firmware with the liteon 1635s one on recommendation from a frnd but of no use now it has completely stopped recognising even cd although it reads dvd quite fine pls advise.......


also i can't flash it's firmware to one of sony's yys series now any idea hw i could remove the lite on firmware and re flash my drive with sony 's yys firmware each time i try to do so it say sony drive not found

How could you flash a sony drive with liteOn's firmwire???
sounds fishy to me.
You should go to the service centre, i think thats the best option.

once i tried to flash the firmwire on my LG combo drive and it became totally defunct, and i had to go to the service centre.
