Dvd Writer Buying Guide?????

iam planning to buy dvd writer am confused about the new blu-tay and hd-dvd!!


so pls suggest me a good dvd writer as digit was suggested lite-on dvd writer is best but it is not available in my city i found SONY DRU-820A in my city all my vendors r suggesting that it is good so pls suggest me a good dvd writer ????

my budget is 4k

Also tel me when the blu-ray dvd writer is available now??? if it is available tell me the price ?????

Blu ray & HD are latest formats....which is way out of league
Its costlier too....as ingle Blu ray disc costs around 1000-2000 4 a 25 gb & the writer has not been released...Except Sony vaio Laptop which costs 2 lakhs

I suggest u better wait 4 a yr to buy the new format writers....remember when the Dvd writer came out it was 16000 now its 2500

Also Liteon is good ....since U dont get it Sony is also preferred DRU-820A is most widely used option nowadays.....Use g8 care in writing & use Moserbaer or sony DVD-R s as media
