DVD ROM Not Working

I had lended my dvd-rom to my frnd and it does not eject the dvd in it somehow by using a pin i got it out but now the tray doesn't work and when i insert anything in it,it doesn't read anything plz help

The tray will have to be working for the DVD-ROM to read media.You may need to get a service guy involved,or if you can,open the drive and see if a belt has come off or sth.
