what resolution ur using? try capturing at low resolution. also try using ulead videostudio or adobe priemier. get rid of using wmv and use only DV, mpeg compression which u can edit later.

ur using a very high resolution for ur poor lil p3
    lighten the load a bit
why do u need such a big capture anyways ?
if u convert to vcd ur gonna scale it down to 352*280 anyways !!
