Doom3 stutters with Geforce 6600GT

hi all,

doom 3 is giving me a problem. My pc config is:

Amd athlon64 2800
512 mb ddr ram
geforce 6600gt 128 mb
160gb pata hdd

while running doom3, it stutters many times, mostly when im in front of a door, it pauses or stutters for 2 or 3 sec and then the door opens. it also happens at other places in the game. what is wrong with it?

Solution-
1.I guess your page file(virtual memory) aka 'Windows swap file' must be atleast 700MB. Make sure you set it to 700 MB. Rt click "My comp" > properties> Advanced > per4mance settings >Advanced > Virtual memory > change.
2. See that no other memory hoggers are running in the system bar. Eg: Norton Antivirus.
3. Defragment
5. Use the latest video drivers

yeh, working fine here, me getting 60 fps, with all high

for me, it stutters when i enble stereo drivers, rest all works fine
