Does Hibernating Computer take MB?

YEah , it will take some space, as it saves your previous settings and your running applications. I am not sure how much space it may take.

Benefits:
We can continue our work from the previously working applications...and no need to start the programs once again in case u need to work with the same application after u shut down.

yes the hibernate option takes up space as much as that of your RAM.

If your RAM is 1 GB it takes up 1 gb of space


@expertno.1 which OS are you using.
If your using xp then press shift when the shutdown dialog box come and see stadby change to hibernate.

If that does not come then you have to do the following

Control PAnel-> display-> screensaver

in the screensaver box on the bottom right you will see a button as power

click it the Hibernate Tab and enable it .

That should do it .

I think these steps wil work for win 98 also.

Also if you cannot enble it using the steps that I gave above then there is a conflict between certain drivers that are causing it to disable.

In the zone
Some older versions of Logitech Drivers seem to have a problem with the hibernate feature.
Uninstall all Logitech Drivers or update them with the latest versions & u can enable hibernation.
