Dileup Time??

am using a dile up conn....so yday when my conn failed....tryed to conn using my phone.....and to my surprise..i heard the old dile tone tune....with in 3 sec..but when i dile from modem it takes 1-1.5 min..to connect...why???can i reduce this time??


also am using a HSP micro modem...(internal)...so does it effect my speed..imean if i go 4 a external modem..will i get a incresed speed??

ur problem isnt very clear ..

1. Disable wait for dial tone.
2. Disable the ppp screen.
3. there are different "advanced settings" for different modems and purposes, google that.

dear ali..i mean when i dile from my modem.....it takes bout 2 min to connect to INET......but when i dile the same no fm my Phone Device..its connected with in a few sec.......so how can i get connected to net with in seconds....insted for waiting for 1/1.5 min every time....{Hope this time my eng is Understandable}
ice i hav disabled wait for diletone..way back...n BTW wazz PPP ??

also 1 q i 4got to ask.....if i go 4 a External modem..will i get bit more speed as compared to my current 3/4 KbytesPS
