Dell 22" or LG 23"

I plan to purchase a monitor for my new desktop which will primarily be used for work, movies, music, games in that order. I searched a lot on flipkart, amazon and dell. I thought of purchasing a Dell IPS+Full HD but it is only available in 22" (S2240L). In LG it is available in both 23" (23MP55HQ) and 24" (24MP55HQ). Price of 23 is within budget. My question is which is good and reliable monitor? Should I risk LG or just stick to Dell? Also one of the local dealers said that 23" 23MP55HQ is not available but 23" 23EA53V is available and is a newer version. I doubt it. When I go to the Dell site, I can find 23MP55HQ for selling but 23EA53V is mentioned only in the support category.

Also, any better 23" in the same price ranger with IPS panel?

i wont recommend LG 23EA53V as it has 14ms response time. remember there is this model LG 23EA53V-P with 5 ms response time, but i think , is not available here.23MP55HQ looks good on paper. you can also have a look at AOC I2269vwm/ i2369vm.
