i think i've got da solution...

1) Scan ur registry with sum good registry scanner.
2) Uninstall Yahoo messenger.
3) Search for FUNNY UST SCANDAL.avi files and delete them.
4) Look for the FUNNY UST SCANDAL.avi at C:\windows and delete it
5) Scan your system with antivirus.

This might remove the virus as when i did all dis...everything got back 2 normal but still dat hidden file stuff is not wrking so expect da virus 2 b hiding sumwhere...

Can ne one hlp with da hidden file enable stuff??

Use standard av like nod32 or use bit defender..
Or else use avg av which is free.yöü can also try adaware..and spybot search and destroy.

Do an online scan of your pc using kaspersky. That should find the culprit.

A word of advice, uninstall NIS 2007. Switch to something that really works.

to unhide,,
go in registry hkey_local_machine/software/microsoft/windows/currentversion/explorer/advanced/folder/hidden

there under hidden/nohidden folder, click on it on right side, check dat values of checked value & default value must be 2.. if not then click on them and change it to 2..
next under hidden/showall folder..click on it..on the right side, checkedvalue1 , defaultvalue=2 should b there..if not make the changes...exxit registry n try again

I had this virus earlier. I booted to ubuntu and I searched entire HDD for all *.exe files and sorted by file size. This virus exe has a size of around 226 k or something I guess. Just delete all exe files with that file size. These files will have that stupid "AVI" icon also.

Reboot back to windows, and do the registry thing to enable showing hidden files, and u shud be done.

If u dont have linux installed, try some live-cd version.
